Rates of ambulance should be standardized. Is there any rule that the govt has done to ensure that the ambulance drives dont charge equivalent to a flight ticket

It would be nice if there was a fixed rate which was related to distance.
The rate table should be with the driver.
This will make it easy for stranded patients who are being taken for a ride.
The ambulance asked for 7500/- from Trinity Circle to St Philomena’s Hospital.

Why not also provide basic cost of the “free” ambulance service per kilometre? That way we have some idea.
There are complaints that these so called “free” services are nam ka vaste.
