The Supreme Court shot down a petition to direct the government to immediately embark on a door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination policy, saying such pleas were a product of ignorance about the diversity of the country and complexity of governance.

Universities in the State have decided to promote second and fourth semester students in undergraduate programmes without conducting the examination as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. As part of its plan to increase vaccine coverage in the city, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has set up the first of the three mega vaccination centres, Bruhat Lasika Kendra, at Dr. B R Ambedkar Bhavan in Yelahanka.
