- Covid tests/million population: Kerala tops, Raj at bottom
With the recent uptick in Covid cases, the focus is again on whether states are testing enough to detect cases early. Data shows that Kerala, where cases are currently the highest, is also the leader in testing among larger states with a seven-day average of 4,587 tests per million. At the other end, Rajasthan is at just 378 tests per million and Bengal, Haryana, MP and Gujarat all below 1,000 per million.

The administration of Covaxin for the first dose has been suspended temporarily at all government Covid-19 vaccination centres due to an overall shortage of vaccines, reports Sunitha Rao R. Karnataka’s own vaccine registration app, titled Co-Win Kar, is finally available for download on Google Play Store. Authorities are experimenting with the app on a pilot basis in Mysuru city limits and it has seen more than 100 downloads so far. Use of the app will be extended across the state later.
